Mop and Pop and The Dog Day

Children’s Book & Audiovisual Experience

/ Spring 2023, Parsons School of Design

Mop and Pop and the Dog Day is my written adaptation of an original bedtime fable my mother told my brother and me when we were little. In the story, two sibling bunnies learn the importance of their bond when an argument leads them into danger. The project consists of a printed storybook and an audiovisual component for an app.

Process Details

I developed Mop and Pop in partnership with DERT, an organization dedicated to promoting child literacy. My illustrations were inspired by Eloise and Harold and the Purple Crayon, two of my favorite classics growing up. It was special collaborating with my family to narrate and voice act the story for the audiovisual format, and I am so pleased to have brought to life for children and their parents a story that connected my own family.
